Characteristics of the study program
The study programme is the only one of its kind in Slovakia, as well as in the Central European area, focusing on the ecology of alpine and alpine environments. It is based on society-wide needs in the field of environment and nature and landscape protection. It is a response to the demands from the state and public administration sector for higher qualified professional staff in positions related to the performance of service in the state or public interest in the field of environment and nature and landscape protection. The study programme is purposely focused on the protection and creation of the environment, nature and landscape conservation in the context of sustainable development. It respects a universalistic and holistic model of education, develops and combines the study of natural, technical, technological, economic, legal, social and philosophical aspects of the environment.
